Purpose of the Job

As a HR Business Partner, you’ll be part of our EMEA HR team, reporting to the Regional HR Business Partner. Your primary focus will be supporting around 100 colleagues across the Netherlands and Belgium. You’ll also lend your expertise to a few other countries in the EMEA region, including the UAE, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia, where we have smaller teams. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact across a diverse and international environment.

In this role, you’ll be a trusted partner to managers, offering strategic and hands-on support across a range of people matters, from employee relations and performance management to navigating local employment laws. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our HR practices are not only effective but also compliant with legal and regulatory standards across the markets you support.

A standout part of this position is your collaboration with the Works Council in the Netherlands, where you’ll engage in meaningful consultation and dialogue on employment-related topics. You’ll also help bring our regional HR strategy to life by leading local initiatives that align with our broader business goals.

In this role, you’ll work closely with global HR specialists across talent acquisition, performance, operations, payroll, and rewards—bringing regional insights to global processes and ensuring our people strategies are both globally aligned and locally meaningful.

You’ll be part of a connected and collaborative EMEA HR team, sharing ideas, driving cross-border initiatives, and continuously improving how we work. There’s also the opportunity to travel occasionally to other HH Global offices and client sites across the region—building relationships, gaining new perspectives, and seeing the impact of your work first hand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnering with Purpose Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to line managers, offering practical, people-first guidance that aligns with company policies, local employment legislation, and best practices—ensuring compliance across all supported markets.
  • Building Strong Relationships Develop meaningful partnerships with managers and their teams, providing expert support on a wide range of people topics—from performance and absence management to maternity leave and employee relations—helping teams thrive and deliver on their goals.
  • Driving Strategic Projects Lead and contribute to impactful HR initiatives, including Talent Management and Total Reward strategies, in close collaboration with global HR specialists.
  • Supporting Business Growth Play a key role in managing TUPE transfers and supporting the successful onboarding of new business activity, ensuring a smooth and people-focused transition.
  • Shaping HR Excellence Help shape the future of HR at HH Global by reviewing, designing, and implementing processes, policies, and procedures that reflect current legislation and evolving business needs.
  • Engaging with the Works Council Collaborate closely with the Works Council in the Netherlands, supporting formal consultation processes and fostering open, constructive dialogue on employment matters.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

  • Proven experience in generalist HR, ideally across multiple countries, with strong knowledge of Dutch employment law
  • Practical experience working with Works Councils in the Netherlands, demonstrating a collaborative and consultative approach
  • Ability to develop and implement HR strategies, including managing TUPE transfers and supporting business transitions
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, with excellent communication skills across cultures and levels
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the credibility to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Confident, organised, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment
  • Creative and practical problem-solver with sound judgement and attention to detail
  • Commercially aware and financially literate, with a clear understanding of how HR drives business value
  • Enthusiastic and proactive, with a positive, collaborative approach to continuous improvement
  • Experience in professional services or multi-site international environments is a plus
